Make your own Vegetable-dye Socks!!

For our Week 11 Wellness Workshop on Wednesday 15th of September* we will be making DIY Vegetable-Dye Socks together from 6:30pm on Zoom! 

If you haven't already, register now for our free giveaway which includes a pair of socks, rubber bands, a $10 Coles voucher to help purchase your vegetable ingredients, and tutorial instructions.

We've picked an easy tutorial to follow together, which will teach you step-by-step how to create your vegetable dye, as well as different patterns if you wish to do a tie-dye design. You will need some extra supplies for this project, which you can use your $10 Coles voucher to help purchase:

• Vegetables, fruit or spices for your dye
• Salt
• Vinegar
• Water
• Small saucepans

If you missed the giveaway, all you need is a white pair of socks and some rubber bands. You can purchase these from Kmart, Big W or other clothing stores. Then you will need to purchase your extra supplies in the list above. Once you register, we will email you the instructions.

The Colours

You can dye your socks one or multiple colours! See the list below to help you decide what vegetables/fruit/spices to aquire:

• Beetroot - reddish/pink
• Avocado pits & skin - peach
• Red Cabbage - purple
• Blueberries/black beans - blue
• Spinach - green
• Brown Onion skins - orange 
• Tumeric/lemon peels - yellow
