WEEKLY WELLNESS WORKSHOP

Every week LEXSA is helping you relax with our wellness workshops. This week we're partnering up with Chess Club for a Board Games Session! You can come along to play a casual game from 12pm or learn how to play something new. We have a variety of board games listed below and of course; hand sanitiser! 

• TAK - A two-player abstract strategy game featured in Patrick Rothfuss's The Wise Man's Fear book series. The goal of Tak is to be the first to connect two opposite edges of the board with pieces called "stones", and create a road.
• GO - An abstract strategy board game for two players in which the aim is to surround more territory than the opponent. The game was invented in China more than 2,500 years ago and is believed to be the oldest board game continuously played to the present day.
• Settlers of Catan + Cities & Knights Expansion - play a game of building and trading to obtain 10 victory points and win the game of Catan, you can add a little more tactical and strategic skill with the expansion pack.
• Ticket to Ride: Europe Edition - An elegantly simple game which can be learned in 5 minutes, and appeals to both casual and experienced gamers. Players collect cards of various types of train cars, and use them to build stations, pass through tunnels and onto ferries, and lay claim to railway routes throughout Europe. 
• Codenames: Pictures Edition - Two rival spymasters give one-word clues that can point to multiple pictures on the table. Their teammates try to guess pictures of their color while avoiding those that belong to the opposing team.
• Monopoly: Rick & Morty Edition - Wubba Lubba Dub Dub! Join Rick and Morty and the Smiths as you gallivant your way to victory by buying, selling and trading locations from the Multiverse including the Cromulon Dimension, Gazorpazorp and Planet Squanch. Featuring collectible tokens, Flooble Cranks, Gooble Boxes, custom Flurbo currency, and more!
• Unstable Unicorns - A strategic card game about everyone’s two favorite things: Unicorns and Destruction! Be the first person to collect 7 Unicorns in your play area (stable) by gathering up your own Unicorn army and using a combination of their magical powers and Magic, Instant, Upgrade, and Downgrade cards to hinder the other players’ progress and destroy their Unicorns instead. Beware as you may just find your plans foiled by a well-played “Neigh!” card.
• Secret Hitler - A social deduction game for 5-10 people about finding and stopping the Secret Hitler. Players are secretly divided into two teams the liberals, who have a majority, and the fascists, who are hidden to everyone but each other.
• Pandemic - a cooperative game, all players win or lose together. As skilled members of a disease-fighting team, you must keep four deadly diseases at bay while discovering their cures. You and your teammates will travel across the globe, treating infections while finding resources for cures. You must work as a team to succeed.
• Betrayal at House on the Hill - This fun and suspenseful game is a new experience almost every time you play - you and your friends explore "that creepy old place on the hill" until enough mystic misadventures happen that one of the players turns on all of the others! It features multiple scenarios, a different lay-out with every game, and enough chills to freeze the heart of any horror fan.
• Stratego - a game full of adventure and surprises. You have an army of game pieces with different ranks, you are the commander in chief, and your assignment is to capture your opponent's flag while protecting your own.

Please register a spot as spaces are limited, please note students must sanitise before attending this workshop.

*Only 1 Student per registration as we need your details for Covid purposes. Gloves, hand sanitiser and masks are available for students to use. Please note this event is only for Southern Cross Uni current students. These events will occur on Southern Cross Uni's Lismore campus.
