Southern Cross University has partnered with us, your Student Association and Atlas Lawyers to launch the SCU Student Legal Service — a free, confidential legal advice, information and referral service. This new support service is available to all Southern Cross University students.
What can you get help with?
The team of qualified legal professional at Atlas Lawyers can help with a range of legal topics such as:

Employment rights and contracts

Tenancy and Landlord issues

Qld Traffic and minor criminal offences

Family issues and Domestic violence
-
Immigration and visa queries
-
Consumer and financial matters
-
Commercial, Business and Contracts
-
General legal questions
You can access up to 3 x 20 minute consultations per matter. Written advice will be provided following consultations. Specialised legal service, ongoing assistance or representation are not provided by this service.
If your legal enquiry falls outside our expertise or involves a conflict of interest, we will refer you to a more suitable service.
How it works:

Appointments can be made through the Atlas Lawyers portal

Consultations are available in person at Gold Coast, Lismore and Coffs Harbour campuses, by phone or online via Microsoft Teams

On your first visit click “start now” at bottom of page and create an account with your SCU email. Students will be able to manage their appointments through the portal.

Consults are for 20 minutes, students may access up to three consults per matter

After the consultation a written advice will be posted to your account in the Atlas Lawyers portal
