What is IDAHOBIT Day?
IDAHOBIT stands for the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia. It's observed on 17th of May each year. This year it was held within our LEXSA Stress Less and we celebrated it on campus with morning tea.
International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia & Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) celebrates LGBTQIA+ people globally, and raises awareness for the work still needed to combat discrimination. 31 years ago - on May 17, 1990 - the World Health Organization removed homosexuality from the Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems.
