Southern Cross University Students - you could win a Coles Voucher each week!
Thursday 14 March is Pi Day - as in the mathematical symbol (& number) used to help calculate the circumference or area of a circle, not the meat-filled pastry treat of pie. So we're asking you to tell us how you have used the maths you learnt in school in your current life for your chance to win 1 of 10 $10 Coles Vouchers. Su in the LEXSA Office has used Pi to calculate the diamater of a walking track on an oval, based on its circumference, to mark it out with chalk paint for a charity event. Percentages, calculating budgets and correct change are Anita's daily uses of her maths skills.
