Southern Cross University Students - your chance to win a Coles Voucher each week!
Noodle Day occurs on October 6th. The word noodle derives from the German word nudel, but the first evidence of noodle consumption was found in China in a 4000-year-old earthen dish. Unlike pasta, noodles aren't linked to one particular grain; they can be made from root vegetables to tapioca flour, mung bean starch, seaweed, and rice flour. In Asian cuisine, noodles are the main ingredient in soups, salads, steaming broths, stir-fries, and side dishes.
