LEXSA Members, you could win a pack of R U OK? & novelty items!

A conversation can change a life. R U OK? is an organisation that aims to inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with the  people around them and start a conversation with those in their world who may be struggling with life. You don't need to be an expert to reach out - just a good friend and a great listener.

Use these four steps and have a conversation that could change a life:

1. Ask R U OK?
2. Listen
3. Encourage action
4. Check in

To encourage and assist you to engage with RUOK? Day on Thursday 12th September and to feel more confident in having conversations about mental health, for your own benefit or for those people you interact with regularly, we've put together RUOK? packs including a beanie (yes, we know it's already feeling like summer in some parts of Australia but it's still cold in other places!), conversation cards, positive thinking stickers and a digital daily planner that we'll email to you if you're a winner. To enter simply tell us about a conversation you've had that had a positive impact on your mental health or on a person close to you.

*Please note this competition is for current Southern Cross University students who are 2024 LEXSA Members only, runs for one week from Monday, 9th to Sunday, 15th of September 2024 (Week 3, Term 4), with 10 winners randomly drawn from Monday, 16th of September 2024.
