BIO:
Pelu describes her sound as warm, intimate, vulnerable. In this time of crisis,
Northern Rivers singer-songwriter Ami Peluchetti a.k.a Pelu’s music is a big hug to warm your winter isolation. ‘Penny Man’, is her warmly melancholic debut single, a collaboration with Queensland producer Donovan Lee, who has previously worked with Tess Guthrie and other international artists. For Pelu music is ‘an expression of the link between the material and spiritual worlds’, and she is ‘a channel between those two worlds’. Her rich warm music is by turns forceful and ethereal, her songs touch on themes of isolation, mental illness, and the path to self-love through the healing power of storytelling.
Pelu describes her creative process as ‘hunting for feeling’, and her compelling voice and magnetic presence make you want to lean in, close your eyes, and follow her into the music.
So pour yourself a wine, settle down by the fire, and let her take you away.
