About The Event

Join us for Wellness Wednesday + NAIDOC Week celebrations!

Each week, we host our Wellness Wednesday event with live music, workshops and activities. This week is NAIDOC Week which is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth. NAIDOC stands for National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee. Each year has a theme. As a nation, it calls for us to continue to Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud, honouring the enduring strength and vitality of First Nations culture.

Check out what's planned below:

> Enjoy live music by Dean Bready & guest artists from 11.00am on the Goodman Plaza Stage as well as livestreamed on Facebook

> Pick up a limited LEXSA $5 Cafe Voucher* from 11:30am to use at one of the two cafes on Lismore Campus - check your voucher for a stamp, you could win!

*Please take note of when each cafe closes and make sure you use your voucher within the opening hours, it is not valid once the cafes close on Wednesday.

> Join us outside the LEXSA office for our Brush + Bag Workshop between 11am - 2pm to use Aboriginal stencils to make a unique design. We've got all the materials you'll need including stencils, pencils, crayons, paper, canvas bags, paint markers and gentle guidance.

Find out more about our events on our What's On page, the SCU event page or email info@lexsa.com.au for more info.

LEXSA is your Student Association on Lismore Campus. We aim to assist on-campus and online students by providing support, events and services throughout your university experience.

*Please note students must show their student ID card when picking up a lunch voucher
